GEOGRAPHY
The Island is in the Caribbean Sea,17.20 ' North and 62.45' West , 150 miles southeast of Puerto Rico.

It covers 68 square miles


The highest point is Mount Liamigua at 3, 972 feet

 

CLIMAT
Sunny and warm-round, with some cooling from trade winds.
The average temperature vary from75° in the winter and 89° in the summer.
The Island is essentially dry with frequent rainfalls.
The most important rains occur between the months of August and November.

Entry requirements
Robert Llewllyn Bradshaw International Airport, if arriving by a long distance flight, entry requirements are limited to Immigration formalities.
There is a custom.

General conditions are as follow:
US Citizens
Presentation of a valid passport, or a birthday certificate along with a pictured ID.
Return ticket
Possesion of sufficient found for the intended stay.
No vaccination is required
Pets are allowed in with presentation of a recent certificate of good health.

Canadian citizens
A valid passport and a return/continuing ticket.
Canadian residents require a "Landing permit" with valid passport and return/continuing ticket.

European Community citizens
A valid passport and a return/continuing ticket.

  • A departure tax of US$ 22,00 is due to the tax desk after your check-in at the Airport.
  • Some have made provisions to include the departure tax in your airline ticket

purchase may be brought to your country.

CUSTOMS:
For residents of United States European Community and Canada, customs regulation are as follow:


USA Residents: After a stay of 48 hours or more, travellers are entitled to an exemption of
$US400.00 if they did not use this exemption in the preceding 30 days.
This amount is per person and cumulative for family.
A four person family is exempted of taxe for US$1600.00.
In addition, each person may bring 200 cigarettes and travellers over 21 years old one liter of alcohol.


Residents of European Community having been in St Kitts are entitled to the following exemptions:
€uros 200.00 for travellers more than 16 years old.
€uros 100.00 for travellers less than 16 years old.
200 cigarettes (or 100 cigarillos, 50 cigars)
1 liter of alcohol over 22° or 2 liters below 22°.

Canada residents having been in St Kitts 7 days or more are entitled to the following exemptions:
C$ 300.00
Each travellers over 16 years old, are entitled to 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars and 2 lbs of tobacco.
